The Mitsubishi Electric Corporation is set to start collecting solar energy from space. They are teaming up with AUD, which is another Japanese company to invest up to $25 million for the farming project.

The main goal of the solar farming project is to develop a 1GW farm stationed in space at 36,000 kilometers from our planets surface. Using up to 4 kilometers of Mitsubishi solar panels, the energy farmed is set to be used to power close to 300,000 Japanese homes.
