Green Costumes Ideas for Halloween
There are many ways to create a great Halloween costume using recycled materials, while still being able to come up with an outfit more original than a hobo, clown or basic black witch.
Here we are going to take a look at some of the best green themed Halloween costumes on the net that use the three R’s of reduce, reuse and recycle in their make up.
From Bamabelle’s Etsy Shop we have the Death of a Mermaid costume. This green themed costume combines the dirty reality of our polluted oceans with the fantasy of mermaids. Check out the full costume details and learn more about how to make your own by clicking through here: Death of a Mermaid
Other eco-conscious costume ideas would be decorating yourself in plastic bottles and other trash items for a Waste Fairy costume.
You could also make your own face paints and decorate yourself as Global Warming. Re-purpose some old clothing and make your self an eco-ghost or green witch. The possibilities in this area are really only limited to what you have around the house and your own imagination.
Up next, we have some simple cardboard armor that you can use to make just about
any type of costume that requires a harder surface with distinct lines. To get started with your own cardboard based costume click through here to the Instructables site: Cardboard Armor
