Big Investments in Going Green
Many companies are looking to cash in on the global acceptance and importance of making the world a better place to be. Here’s a look at some major players in the global economy that have announced their investments for going green in the next few years.
- Hyundai plans to put $3.3 billion into developing eco-friendly cars and reducing carbon dioxide by 2013.
- Samsung has created an Eco-Management 2013 plan, under which it will spend $2.5 billion on energy efficiency.
- Nissan is putting 516.4 million to building and American facility that will make between 50,000 to 100,000 eco-friendly cars a year by 2012.
- Sony Ericsson to put millions into creating over a billion eco-friendly phones.
And these are just a few examples of the money going into the “green market”. One can only hope that the money going in will then help people secure more stable and higher paying jobs around the world.
